Don't get caught out in Lille looking for a restaurant during the evening that can understand Vegan - Vegetarian needs, especially in quiet August. I used the Vegan Society passport booklet (has different languages to explain dietary needs, usually works very well) in an Indian restaurant and even after using English, Urdu & French still got offered unsuitable food. So next day returned to la Source during daytime opening hours and stocked up on food from the shop and was assured their cafe can cater for Vegans, but didn't have time to try it.

This restaurant is very nice and offers also the possibility to buy products from biological agriculture. taste the various soups and White cheese with honey !
